If you told me that I would be writing a legitimate review on a fake homemade movie made for a comedy show, I would tell you that only The Office would make me do such a thing.

Well, here we are.

Threat Level Midnight is an action movie from Great Scott Productions. It follows the story of FBI agent Michael Scarn as he is called out of retirement by the President of the United States. Scarn is tasked to one last mission: to take down his arch rival Goldenface and save the NHL All-Star game, while also confronting his troubled past.

The origins of this story come from The Office episode, “The Client”, where Jenna Fischer’s character Pam discovers the script for a spy movie in Steve Carell’s character Michael Scott’s desk.

This 24 minutes of homemade movie entertainment is hilarious. The poor script, the terrible acting, it goes along perfectly with Office type humor. It’s so dumb, yet so brilliantly funny.

The episode called “Threat Level Midnight” is where all the workers of Dunder Mifflin watch this movie. It culminates pretty much everyone who had appeared in the show for whatever duration of time, which is pretty cool.

It was fun to see the full fruition of scenes and such. Clips played in the episode are still funny, but it was nice to have more to watch. Even though this show ended in 2012, it stills find a way to be relevant in 2019, almost 2020, and Office fans everywhere can remain connected.

The low budget effect makes this movie even funnier. Bullets aren’t seen, allowing characters to dodge them with ease. Toby’s character getting his head blown up will still remain the most expensive clip.

We need an Office Ladies podcast review on this ASAP! (More on the Office Ladies down below- terrific podcast!)

Threat Level Midnight gets a 10/10 score from me. It’s a masterpiece, with laugh out loud humor. Just give Carell all the Oscars for this already. ALL THE OSCARS. The link for the movie is down below to watch on YouTube, go and check it out! I promise you won’t regret this.

That’s what she said.
